Several years ago I booked passage
on one of the last transatlantic voyages
of the QEII, from England to America.
I had no idea the cruise was themed for
writers. Imagine my delight at learning
P. D. James, Dick Francis, and Lynn
Roberts would be conducting a six day
workshop for writers.

Despite a black and blue cheek
(concealed here) and much pain from
an absessed tooth, the Baroness of
Holland Park never missed a beat. P. D.
James is one of the most charming and
funny people I have ever met. No wonder
she is so loved beyond her talent as the
finest mystery writer of our time.
Friend, good Samaritan, world
traveler pursuing her love of
history. Those are but a few ways
to describe my bosom buddy, Jane
Melissari.

How many would climb 9,000 feet
up the Andes, only to turn around
next morning to walk a sick friend
back down, see her medicated and
comfortable before retracing her
steps the following morning to join
the trekkers again 13,00 feet up on
the Inca Trail? Now that's a friend.
To many he is well known as a
public speaker and Florida
author
whose work appears regularly
in local and regional publications
and university presses

To the members of the
DunnellonAuthors Guild, Duke
Stoetzer is more than a mentor
an teacher. He is a faithful friend
with the patience of a saint.
Words cannot adequately
express my appreciation for the
painstaking pens scratches all
over my manuscripts, and one of
these days, I hope Duke will
realize, I did pay attention.
